We seek a candidate conducting systems neuroscience research using NHP models to study higher-order cognition such as decision making, motor planning, attention, working memory, or similar. The successful applicant’s laboratory will be located in a newly expanded and renovated neurophysiology facility, to be completed by the end of 2024. This facility houses faculty from both CMU and our neighbor, the University of Pittsburgh, offering the unique opportunity to be part of a highly interactive, cross-institution community. We are particularly interested in candidates who can capitalize on Carnegie Mellon's and Pitt’s robust collaborative environment for experimental and computational neuroscience research, with core strengths in cognitive and systems neuroscience, neurotechnology, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, engineering, and biological sciences.
