Faculty Positions in Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology

Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (science.psu.edu/bmb) at Penn State invites applications for multiple tenure-track assistant professor appointments in the broad areas of genetics, cell and developmental biology. The successful applicants will join a highly collaborative environment with access to cutting edge research infrastructure including genomic, microscopy, metabolomic, proteomics and animal facilities. They will further have the opportunity to be part of numerous centers of excellence within the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences (www.huck.psu.edu/institutes-and-centers).

Applicants will have a Ph.D., a record of creative research accomplishments, a research plan clearly articulating future contributions to the field, an ability to achieve teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in the practice and teaching of science. The position features an outstanding research space and competitive start-up package.
