Assistant Professor of Virus Ecology

The Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology in the College of Agricultural Sciences and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences of The Pennsylvania State University are seeking an Assistant Professor of Virus Ecology. This position has 75% research and 25% teaching responsibility on a tenure-track 36-week appointment. The successful applicant is expected to develop an externally funded, high impact research program exploring virus ecology and evolution.

Postdoctoral Fellowship Position in Olfactory Sensory Processing

A full-time postdoctoral fellow position is available ASAP to contribute to a funded project examining olfactory sensory processing for social recognition in mice. The project aims to bring the systems neuroscience of olfaction into a more ethologically relevant context, advancing our understanding of naturalistic stimulus processing and odor-guided naturalistic behavior. There will be a substantial investment in understanding the role and relevance of oxytocinergic signaling in olfactory areas during social interactions.
