Areas of Research Focus
There are multiple centers of excellence and disease-focused research programs from which to choose, these include, but are not limited to;
- Immunobiology, including: vaccine development and testing, autoimmune diseases and rheumatology
- Pulmonary Biology, including: Lung complications of prematurity, asthma and cystic fibrosis
- Cancer Biology, including Diffuse Intra-Pontine Glioma, hemopoietic and blood cancers and malignancies of childhood
And many other areas affecting multiple pathologies, as well as normal development investigations including: developmental, cell and molecular biology, stem cell research, vision and circadian rhythms, communication sciences, gestational health, advances in understanding of premature birth and more.

Responsibilities
Postdoctoral research fellows will be expected to:
- Design, execute, and record laboratory experiments, and analyze the data.
- Research and improve current methods and evaluate innovative techniques. Implement this knowledge.
- Present research at laboratory meetings, journal clubs, seminars, and meetings.
- Draft, write, and edit scientific reports, papers, journal articles, abstracts, and grants.
- Maintain currency in field through continuing education, literature, and seminars.
- Attend required Cincinnati Children’s training sessions and ensure regulatory compliance with all policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in related discipline, MD, or equivalent required.
